H2O International RCT-CP 3-Stage Counter-top Drinking Water Filter System with GAC/KDF55 Media Cartridge (Chrome Finish) Includes chromed swivel auto diverter, two faucet adapters and quick-connect fittings.

This compact, space-saving design is only 12 inches tall and 4 ½ inches in diameter, yet combines 3 stages of filtration for excellent contaminant reduction and outstanding taste and quality. The attractive chrome finish blends with most decor and easily connects and disconnects from your faucet without any tools.

3 Stages in one easily changed filter cartridge:

Stage 1 – 5 micron sediment pre-filter.

Stage 2 – KDF55 Redox Process Media

Stage 3 – Pure Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon (GAC)

The RCT-CP contains a patented Bacteriostatic media, KDF® (U.S. Patent 4,642,192), which has been tested to drastically reduce or effectively remove: Chlorine, Lead, Arsenic, Barium, Cadmium, Chromium, Selenium, Mercury, Iron and other metals that may be present in the water. KDF® is listed under NSF International Standard 61 (Health effects) for water treatment plant applications.

The Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon is used to improve the taste, color and odor and to drastically reduce or effectively remove: Chlorine, THMs, PCBs and hundreds of other organic contaminants that may be present in the water.

Maintenance and Replacement Filter Costs:

The RCT-CP requires no maintenance other than the filter cartridge replacements. The single 3-stage filter should be replaced once per year, based on the assumed annual consumption of 1,200 to 1,500 gallons of purified water produced each year. If you use more than 3 ½ to 4 gallons per day (on average) you should adjust the replacement schedule accordingly.

The cost of the 3-Stage GAC / KDF filter is $28.75. This translates into an operating cost of approximately 2 cents per gallon! Order filter part GAC/KDF for replacement as shown below or under the section "Replacement Filters".
